About Turunc
Turunc is a small, picturesque fishing
village which has only just been discovered by British holiday makers.
Its secluced bay is gently lapped with the clearest blue water surrounded
by the towering pine-scented mountains.
The pace of life is slow and comfortable
and appeals to the family. Marmaris and Icmeler are just 10km along the
coastline, yet it seems like stepping back in time when you enter
Turunc. Stunning scenery, crystal clear waters, peace and tranquility
is what this village has to offer and it is the perfect place to 'chill
out' and leave the stress of modern life behind you. |

If you are
an outdoors loving person you will enjoy nothing more than water skiing
along the coast. Also available for entertainment is windsurfing, parasailing
and dingy-hiring. This old fisherman's town has a small variety of shops
available selling jewellery, clothes, shoes, beachwear and water-sports
equipment. There are also many mini markets available that sell various
goods such as traditional Turkish souvenirs and local handicraft, a large
array of spices, teas and Turkish delights and on Mondays they feature
an interesting market. .
There are plenty of restaurants with fresh
seafood being the resorts specialty, followed by kebabs and traditional
Turkish cuisine.
Turunc is a smaller, quieter and peaceful
resort than most, and is a firm favourite with sun seekers who want to
sample the simple pleasures in life in a timelessly beautiful setting. |
